Kylie Minogue - Tour 2008 - UK Dates

Kylie Minogue has announced a 24 dates European tour for 2008. The tour will start on May 6th in Paris featuring an entirely new stage production inspired by her new album X.

'The eclectic mix of sounds on X is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative. After two celebratory tours, X will be a look to the future but will definitely include favourites alongside the new.' Kylie.

As soon as tickets went on sale they were snapped up most within few minutes, bringing down Bishopsgate telephone exchange which handled lines for the London show, the state of the art centre crashed under the unprecedented volume of calls.

Websites handling tickets did also experience crawling speeds , crashes and widespread timing out.

The massive demand for tickets did prompt the organizers to add more dates giving ticket offices a temporary break, well, it wasn't for long, speculators and fans alike jammed the call lines once more .

UK tickets unavailability is predicted by next week, new dates could be announced , but don't hold your breath.There are only so many days that Kylie can play, also venues have to find the matching free date slots .

If you are prepared to pay extra you can buy tickets on the open market at what we would call a 'fair'
cost . Ticket prices do vary depending on the venue section and wheather you stand or have a good seat

About The Show

Kylie is preparing for the show ,a time frame'setting which will begin with songs from 1987 and gradually follow up to 2004. Knowing our Showgirl we can only expect a grand spectacular extravanganza full of entertaining music, dance routines and stunning visual effects .

Kylie said "I was so looking forward to bringing the Showgirl tour to Australian audiences, and am sorry to have to disappoint my fans."Nevertheless hopefully all will work out fine and I'll be back with you all again soon."
Kylie might now take up to a year off, the Australian tour is therefore postponed for the near future.
Tickets cost will be refunded.
Just 200 of the 220 000 tickets sold for the Australian leg of Kylie Minogue's Showgirl tour have been returned to the promoters. "Anyone needing urgent refunds can get them, but we're finding hardly anyone is doing that," Frontier Touring spokesperson

Kylie Minogue - Australian Tour

Kylie will be touring Australia to end the Showgirl spectacular , she will bring her Show Girl Greatest Hits Tour to Australia in May and June. The tour is Kylie’s biggest show to date.
Tickets will go on sale on January 31 for the show, which will kick off in Sydney on May 20 going to to Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide to end in Perth on June 12.

I'm very excited to be coming home to tour in May and June," Miss Minogue said.
"It's a greatest hits tour so we are trying to put in as many as we can, which I have to say is a far cry from the first and second tours that I ever did where we didn't even have enough songs let alone hits"
"This is my most ambitious show ever; it needs to be in order to do justice to all the hits. "It will be two hours of musicmemories; and I promise some surprises ".
The £1.2 million (AUS$3 million ) stage will be the same used in the UK and will be flown down under in May. The Australian leg will cost £4 million to stage (AUS$10 million) , but Kylie has promised not to make this an expensive tour for her fans. Prices are therefore expected to hover around the 2002 Fever Tour prices.
Michael Gudinski , the tour organizer said: "Kylie wanted to ensure that her Show Girl ticket prices were kept as reasonable as possible. "This is an enormously spectacular show, which will cost a fortune to stage, but Kylie’s decision from day one was to keep the prices as they were on her last tour."

Kylie Minogue - Glastonbury Festival - KYLIE has cancelled her appearance at GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL

Kylie will perform at the UK Glastonbury Festival late June 2005 , now confirmed as the Sunday night headline act at the notorious Pyramid Stage . One more and last chance to see Kylie live in the UK in 2005. The performance expected date is Sunday the 26th of June.

"She's been in discussions for months but it's only just been agreed. It's a huge thing for both Kylie and her fans that she'll not only be performing at her first Glastonbury Festival but in the headline slot as well."

Glanstobury is the UK's largest music festival , it spans over three days and is visited by over 100.000 people. Set in a splendid Somerset valley over 700 acres and a perimeter fence of 8½ miles is a very unique experience that sees an array of about 1000 performances played at the numerous strategically located stages .
